Young Minders' advice to the decision makers

 

At the end of the conference the Young Minders came up with the following 6 suggestions to the decision makers:

 

1. Consult young people through discussion forums
2. Use young peoples’ favorite media to inform of environment / health issues and current affairs
3. If there is another stage to our NEHAP, the Youth Council and schools should have an influence on what is done
4. If young people are going to be the future they have to learn more about the health and environment now!
5. We, the youth, are often told that we are the decision makers of tomorrow, but we want to be involved now!
6. We suggest free tickets to all public transportation for all children and teenagers. Then we and our parents don’t have to drive in private cars all the time.
