How to create a submenu point

A sebmenu is made by clicking the orange insert-arrow (in the submenu area).

Two different kinds of menupoints

You can make two different kinds of menupoints:

  1. Visible menupoints
  2. Invisible menupoints (hidden pages).

The function of the first type should be obvious whereas the function of the second type is a bit more tricky. The second type is used for pages you would like to link to internally, without the menupoint beeing visible in the menuarea and for pages you are still working on, and therefor don't want to be published right now.

While in editor modus the invisible menupoints (pages) will be seen as underlined and red e.g. My page.

If you want to hide a menupoint, tic the selection 'Hide the menu'.

This sounds easy enough, and it is, if you remember a few rules:

  • Submenus can be inserted on different levels
  • You should always click the submenu point under which you want your new submenu point to be on the next level.
  • Don't give very long submenu point names. Lines will break if you do.
  • Decide under which submenu point you want to place yours (if there are more.

An example

Imagine the structure:

Submenu point 1

Sub submenu point 1

Sub submenu point 2   (this is what I want to add)

If I want to add a submenu point called Sub submenu point 2, I have to

  • Click Submenu point 1 (to indicate that the next point is placed on a level directly under this)
  • Click the orange insert-arrow
  • This dialogue-box appears

  •  At the red arrow: Fill in the name of the sub submenu point.
  • At the green arrow; Fill in a text you want to be shown as a hint if you rest the mouse in the menupoint
  • At the yellow arrow: Select where in the hierarchy you want the submenu point placed.
  • Click 'Send'
