Youth Song – by Lianne Savage
Have you seen the world through a child’s eyes?
Discovered many mysteries which were in disguise
The unchecked tears fall down stained cheeks
Of children who haven’t smiled for weeks
So you may not believe
That a youth with passion
Could see such things
So I’ll leave it to your opinion
Our souls are full with tainted air
Even our own blood seems unaware
Lives taken to the point of no hope
To material ways how much more can we cope?
So you may not believe
That a youth with passion
Could see such things
So I’ll leave it to you opinion
Maybe we can help in another way
That includes no money so you don’t have to pay
Perhaps a little care will mean so much more
To those who are either rich or poor.
So you may not believe
That a youth with passion
Could see such things
So I’ll leave it to your opinion
So just listen
To the youth with passion
Maybe you’ll see things
But I’ll leave it to their opinons
